Tayvallich rewilding retreats
Tayvallich and Coshandrochaid House

At the heart of Tayvallich Estate is the picturesque hamlet of Coshandrochaid.
Coshandrochaid offers 10 comfortable bedrooms in 4 residences and is a perfect location for relaxation, tours, and seminars. It has spectacular wetlands, salt marsh, and diving nearby on the east coast of the peninsula. A wholly unspoilt west coast, looking out on the Sound of Jura and the Inner Hebrides, is a short walk away across Drimnagall. We also offer expert-led guided walks from our team around the Tayvallich Estate.
Coshandrochaid spaces

The hamlet of Coshandrochaid includes 4 properties which are available for rewilding retreats up to 10:
Coshandrochaid House: 4 bedrooms
Coshandrochaid Cottage: 3 bedrooms
Kate’s Cottage: 1 bedroom
Keeper’s Cottage: 2 bedrooms
The hamlet suits groups of 10 people best, but most of the rooms are double bedrooms so it is possible to accommodate more people if your group includes couples.

Join a sensory and immersive experience amongst stunning west coast scenery and learn about nature's bounty and wild edibles. Learn some of the wonderful meanings and the stories behind the Gaelic names that describe our sense of place and the nature that surrounds us and immerse your senses with a dip in Argyll's stunning water. Wildlife walks
There is so much wildlife to see at Tayvallich, join our science, estate or ranger team on a wildlife walk and see if you can spot otters, sea eagles, marsh fritillary butterflies, barnacle and Greenland whitefronted geese, and so much more!
Host: Indoor team building and seminar activities
Use the castle’s flexible spaces to host team building activities. With multiple breakout rooms, living, kitchen and dining, make Coshandrochaid House your own.
Hire bikes locally with Ally’s Bike Hire, and take a ride around the peninsular
Ride on two wheels, allowing you to explore further, with bikes that can be hired for the day or the duration of your trip, delivered to your door and set up to allow greater sustainable travel and exploration of the magnificent Tayvallich peninsular and beyond.
Trips inland and across the water
Why not visit nearby Jura, visit the nearby Argyll beaver and wildlife centre or the nearby segrass rewilding project, Seawilding. Ask us what there is to do locally—you’ll be spoilt for choice!


Day 1
Late morning arrival at Tayvallich estate. Tayvallich is a 2 hour and 20-minute drive from Glasgow, and worth every minute. Settle into Coshandrochaid House and enjoy a light lunch spread with views over the lagoon and an introduction to the estate from Bunloit’s Estate Manager.
Afternoon guided walking or driving tour of the estate. Explore Tayvallich’s varied habitats and natural capital highlights on an expert-led guided estate tour, discovering the restoration projects that are underway and the ongoing monitoring. With so much to see, let us know if your group would like to focus on rainforest restoration, coastal or marine rewilding and monitoring, rare species or anything else!
We can lead a discussion or presentation on natural capital, science-driven rewilding, business model insights and more. Enjoy some downtime as a group, or organise some team-building activities.
Evening meal. Enjoy a group meal in Coshandrochaid, catered for by a local chef, making the most of local ingredients.

Day 2
Experience a dawn chorus walk, or early morning wildlife and otter spotting walk, with hot drinks in hand. Led by one of our estate rangers, open your eyes and ears to the sights and sounds of a wilding land coming to life.
In the morning make the most of Coshandrochaids’s versatile work and seminar spaces for self-planned group activities or choose from an array of optional outdoor activities including boat trips, kayaking, guided tours, rainforest exploration. and more.
Enjoy a lunch spread before continuing with an afternoon of led discussions and your own organized team building activities, or choose from an array of activities organized by Highlands Rewilding.

Beldorney rewilding retreats
Beldorney Castle

Beldorney is a rural estate with a magnificent castle, in the Deveron Valley. Located 8 miles form Huntly, and 47 miles form Aberdeen itself, it is the perfect location for corporate nature retreat.
From your base in the castle, explore the surrounding Beldorney estate, a 351-hectare rewilding project, managed for natural capital uplift, nature restoration and community prosperity.
Engage your team in meaningful learning experiences, uniquely explaining rewilding, regenerative agriculture, habitat restoration and nature finance topics.
Come and get your team more closely acquainted with each other, fostering cameradie through our in-common connection to nature.
The Castle spaces

Beldorney Castle provides a choice of wonderful settings for discussions, workshops, and seminars for groups up to 30 people (Maximum 10 overnight).
The grand hall:
The grand hall at Beldorney is a historic, wooden paneled drawing room providing a flexible space for presentations, workshops and activities.
The upper hall:
The upper hall, with its beamed, vaulted ceiling provides a second space for presentations, workshops and breakout sessions, as required.
Dining rooms:
Beldorney has a lovely welcoming kitchen, a comfortable dining room, and two halls which can seat up to 30 people. A chef can also be arranged to ensure your team is well catered for during their visit.
Evenings culminate in dinner discussions and a chance to sample some of the local culinary delights. We source food locally from organic and sustainably produced sources wherever possible, and at Beldorney, guests can also enjoy delicious pasture-fed beef from cattle used to help restore ecological functionality at the estate. Equally, vegetarian and vegan options are delicious.
Bedrooms:
The castle has 5 double rooms, with 2 rooms in a separate wing (a double and single), and 5 more rooms available in cottages close by. We have good connections with high quality hotels nearby and will use these in the case of bigger groups. Please enquire for more information.
The castle is equipped with a projector and screen for presentations.
Beldorney Estate Experiences
Explore: Native woodland creation
Visit the “Forest of Hope” a carbon-negative, biodiversity-positive afforestation project, with initial planting of 18.96 hectares.
Experience: Grassland recovery and regenerative agriculture
We employ adaptive grazing methods at Beldorney, which is already visibly increasing biodiversity. Join us on a led cattle-walk as the cows are moved into the different fields, and learn about the importance of soil health for our planet and food systems.
Wander: The River Deveron and rewilding estate
Enjoy walks along the River Deveron, guided by our expert team or following our self-guided walking routes through rural countryside.
Host: Team building and seminar activities

The castle offers 7 bedrooms plus 3 in a comfortable cottage and more nearby if needed. Enjoy private chef-catered dining for up to 30 people in this castle’s two large traditional halls.

There are many other activities to enjoy during your stay at Beldorney, from fishing along the Deveron, whisky tasting in a nearby distillery. Why not finish the evening sat under the stars around our fire pit, watching the bats fly overhead and enjoying being close to nature.

Afternoon guided walking tour of the estate. Explore Beldorney’s varied habitats and natural capital highlights. Walk along the River Deveron, a famous salmon river, and up through the growing Forest of Hope. Say hello to the cattle at Beldorney, moved every day as part of Beldorney’s regenerative agriculture through an adaptive grazing programme.
We can lead a discussion or presentation on natural capital markets, science-driven rewilding, business model insights and more. Enjoy some downtime as a group, or plan some team-building activities in the castle.
Enjoy an evening meal in Beldorney, catered for by a local chef, and sample the Pasture For Life beef that is grazed on the estate. Many guests enjoy evenings by the firepit, under the stars and watching the bats fly overhead.

Day 2

The estate is located in the Deveron Valley, with the eastern edge of the estate bounded by approximately 2.7km of the River Deveron, which rises in the hills above the Cabrach, to the northeast of the Cairngorms.
Located 8 miles from Huntly, and 47 miles form Aberdeen itself, it is the perfect location for a corporate nature retreat.
Bunloit rewilding retreats
Ardachy House

Ardachy House is nestled in the Bunloit estate next to the magical Scots Pine woods, with ancient trees, red squirrels, and its own wildlife hide to spy on the range of wildlife that lives here.
With stunning views over Loch Ness through the large lounge windows, it's the perfect place to relax but is also a well-designed and equipped space for workshops, discussions, and seminars.
Ardachy provides the perfect base to explore the 513 hectares of the Bunloit wildland while you are here, with a host of fantastic walks that will lead you through a range of different rewilding landscapes.
Bunloit hosts two nearby cottages suitable for larger groups, providing a further five bedrooms. Both cottages boast spectacular views over the loch.
Ardachy House spaces

Ardachy House provides a spectacular space with views over Loch Ness, for discussions, workshops, and seminars for groups up to 20 people.
The Lookout:
The Lookout provides a comfortable space, with stunning views and access to the terrace, overlooking Loch Ness. A screen projector for presentations is available.
Kitchen & dinning room:
A well equipped, big, open-plan kitchen leads through to the dining area with space to seat up to 20 people.
Bedrooms:
With 5 bedrooms (2 doubles, 2 twins, and 1 single) and 5 more at the Bunloit farm nearby, every room looks out into the nature that you are immersed in - it would be tricky not to get a peaceful night’s sleep here!

Hidden in the pine woods at Bunloit, watch the wild world go by from the shelter of our wildlife hide. Particularly popular with wildlife photography enthusiasts, who have photographed everything from red squirrels to wild boar, badgers to to bats, up close.

Day 1
Late morning arrival at Bunloit estate. Bunloit is a 40-minute drive from Inverness, along the banks of Loch Ness. Settle into Ardachy for a light lunch spread and introduction to the estate from Bunloit’s Estate Manager.
Afternoon guided walking tour of the estate. Explore Bunloit’s varied habitats and natural capital highlights. Bunloit contains a large variety of upland habitats, from peatland - where you can explore our forest-to-bog restoration project to prevent the loss of stored carbon, to ancient oak woodlands, pastures adaptively grazed by highland cows, and enjoy a walk through Bunloit’s forest garden. Look out for: signs of the wild boar who provide an important ecological function on Bunloit estate. You’ll likely not see these animals as they are very shy!

Bunloit is a Highland estate which sits on the western shores of Loch Ness. 2.5 miles from the town of Drumnadrochit and 16 miles from Inverness, the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands, Bunloit’s accesible location doesn’t diminish the wild feel to this rewilding project.
